A Little History
Back in the early 1900s, the Irvington Village Improvement Association (VIA) was busy organizing events all over town, working hand-in-hand with what was then the Irvington Chamber of Commerce. Over time, life and world events slowed things down, and the VIA’s activities faded — but never completely disappeared. Irvington has always attracted passionate people who love pitching in to make the community shine.
Then in 1995, the VIA came roaring back to life — stronger and more enthusiastic than ever! Thanks to incredible volunteers who care deeply about their village, the VIA continues to thrive today. Whether we’re running an event or lending a hand behind the scenes, you can count on VIA members to be there, making a difference and helping Irvington stay vibrant and welcoming.
